The company «Petrotrans Limited» (hereinafter – Petrotrans Limited or Company) was established in May 22, 2000 in the British Virgin Islands.
Since 2000 Petrotrans Limited has been providing freight forwarding services through Transcaucasian corridor and during this time has earned a reputation as a reliable contractor. The Company has a significant experience in international transportation of oil and oil products and for over 13 years has been providing transportation services from Caspian region through Georgia. The Company has also established the business contacts with a wide range of enterprises in the Caspian region for the sharing of information and planning purposes.
Petrotrans Limited carries out the business and operational activities connected with rendering of freight forwarding services of oil and oil products. The customers are offered a comprehensive service – delivery by the Railway from the Georgian-Azerbaijani border to Batumi Oil Terminal, monitoring and delivery dispatching, discharge of oil products from rail tank cars (RTCs) and their storage on the territory of the Batumi Oil Terminal Ltd (hereinafter – the BOT):
- Execution of all customs clearance procedures at Gardabani and Batumi stations;
- Coordination of works connected with the delivery of oil and oil products in the RTCs from Gardabani to Batumi station, and from Batumi station to the railway overpasses, as well as return of empty RTCs;
- Payment of railway tariffs for the transportation from Gardabani to Batumi station, and from Batumi station to the railway overpasses (railway services on the local market), as well as payment for empty RTCs return from Batumi station to Beyuk-Kesik (Azerbaijan);
- Discharge of products from RTC on the railway overpasses;
- Accumulation and storage of products in the shore tanks on the territory of the Batumi Oil Terminal;
- Loading of the products from the tanks onto vessel;
- Heating and/or other preparation services (if necessary) of products during the discharge, accumulation and loading onto vessel;
- Provision of conditions for blending of products (on board vessels only);
- Provision of the necessary information on the availability and movement of products on the Georgian Railway and on the territory of the BOT, including monthly, weekly or daily reports, as required by the customers.
Thus, the Petrotrans Limited unites the services, provided by various third parties, including the transshipment services, provided by BOT, within the framework of unified model for the purpose of comprehensive customer service.
